I have a bachelor's in biochemistry, PhD in neuroscience, graduate certificate in teaching in higher education…and a passion for sharing science with others! As an instructor, I like to use innovative and engaging student-centred teaching techniques. My favourite parts of teaching include witnessing students finally "get" (or get excited) about a topic, mentoring students, sharing cool facts, and dreaming up creative ways to learn biology – and then trying them out on my students. I strive to always make my classroom or laboratory friendly, challenging, well-organized, interesting and FUN! I hope you will join me for BIOL 090, BIOL 103, BIOL 150, BIOL 231,or whatever other course I might get the pleasure of teaching – get prepared to try something different!
